Malik was finishing this piece when I was in Ubud last. While playing badmitten last year he took a shuttle cock to the eye and can no longer see more than light and blur. Still Malik paints in his painstaking stlye maticulously layering fine line upon fine line. Be sure to click for the large version of this painting to see the individual strokes.
