Jason Monet
Oil on Canvas
Beautiful depth with the leaves coming off the canvas. Lovely tropical plant found everywhere. I like finding paintings of things I am familiar with. It creates a nice connection.

Jason Monet ‘Nancy’s’ June ’05
Oil on Canvas 12 * 55 inches
Private Collection Newport Beach, CA
This one has a wonderful story. When I told Jason I had a custom size for him to make he said it can’t be done. He said it doesn’t matter that the particular wall needed just this size, “I just won’t do it.” Even though the subject matter was up to him he informed me that he used only four sizes and that he had discovered this over the six decades he had been painting. Still he wanted to know who had asked. When I informed him it was my mother he said “Your Mum?” Give me two days and I will figure something out. This is the result.

Jason Monet ‘My Garden’
Oil on Canvas 35 * 43 inches
This is a beautiful rendition of Jason Monet’s garden view from the kitchen. His current home has a partially outdoor kitchen that opens up to this beautiful hanging haloconia plant. Many other plants and leaves are surrounding it. It is a slice of the rainforrest right inside the house. The sky has amazing textures and yellows.

Jason Monet ‘Red Flowers’
Oil on Canvas 19 * 27 inches
Private Collection Dallas, Texas
At a distance this photo is nearly a photograph of red flowers. But, when inspecting from close up this painting is a powerfull display of bold, confident strokes. The petals are amazingly delicate looking. This one must be seen in person.

Jason Monet ‘Pink Flowers’ February ’05
Oil on Canvas 35 * 43 inches
Private Collection Red Bluff, CA
This is one of my favorite paintings of Jason Monet. Personally I think it is a solid museum piece. Notice the depth of the branches and leaves relative to the pink flowers that seem to jump off the canvas.

One of my all time favorites of Neal Adams. This was the first painting with precious metals using copper as a medium. Later, this developed into Neal’s use of gold and silver as a medium. I personally attempted to put this painting into my private collection but… The patron is always right and the current owner insisted that it was going into her collection alongside the tall, thin, vertical hanging halaconia.
